Healthy Iced Oatmeal Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

3oz Plain Wholemeal Flour

3oz Plain Flour

2oz Medium Oatmeal

2oz Soft Brown Sugar

2oz Butter

3 Tablespoons Golden Syrup

1-2 Tablespoons of Milk

2oz Icing Sugar

1 Tablespoon Orange Juice

Instructions

Put flours, oatmeal and sugar in a bowl, cut the butter into small pieces, and rub into the mixture until it resembles breadcrumbs. Warm the syrup in a pan, then stir into mixture, with a little milk to form a soft dough.

Roll out the dough, cut out cookies with a round cutter (approx 3inches). Place on a lightly greased baking tray and cook for around 10-15 minutes on 180 degrees, until pale golden brown in colour. Leave to cool.

Sift icing sugar into a bowl, add orange juice until a loose paste is formed, then drizzle over cooled cookies. Leave to set.
