Physical activity is a fun and easy way to maintain your physical and mental health and quality of life as you age. It’s never too late to start! Here are some ideas to help you increase your physical activity:
• Choose things you like to do, would like to try, or you can do more of what you are
already doing
• Walk wherever and whenever you can
• Take a 10 minute walk each day
• Get off the bus one stop earlier and walk the rest of the way
• Take stairs instead of the elevator
• Stand up and sit down several times in a row to strengthen your legs
• Try taking a class in your community, ie.
